Dr. Michael Yu, OD
Dr. Michael Yu is a Calgary-based optometrist with over 15 years of experience and a passion for full-scope eye care done right.
After completing his Doctor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in 2010, Dr. Yu built his career across British Columbia and Alberta — running his own independent practice, leading clinical operations at a busy optical, and developing deep expertise in comprehensive exams, dry eye treatment, contact lens fitting, and surgical co-management.
Returning to Calgary in 2025, he founded Primaris Vision with a clear purpose: to build an independent clinic where patients receive thorough, personalized care from a doctor who genuinely knows their eyes — and takes the time to show it.
